Foreign Office are a Hackney based four piece in the infancy of their career. From diverse musical backgrounds, the band have developed a new sound, drawing influence from 60s and 70s soul and funk, whilst additionally incorporating 80s post-punk elements.
Many critics and bloggers have since aligned them with bands such as A Certain Ratio, Roxy Music and Talking Heads. They take a danceable, groove-based approach with pop sensibilities that are juxtaposed by dark and paranoid lyrics.
