Kagoule air visuals for ‘Made of Concrete’ ahead of album release (21st August)

Shot within 24 hours, Kagoule paint a surrealistic family portrait in their self directed music video for latest single ‘Made of Concrete’.

The Nottingham trio’s ‘Lynchian’ visuals are being shared over at both Clash and Best Fit. Clash state that the video has “received the full visual treatment, with the DIY techniques mirroring the music”.

Kagoule’s debut LP ‘Urth’ is set for release on the 21st August via Earache Records.

Louder Than War describe the album in their 9/10 review as “a gorgeous, big bastard brick-shit-house of a record”.

Enter Shikari announce remix album – ‘The Mindsweep: Hospitalised’

Due for release October 30th via Ambush Reality/Play It Again Sam, Enter Shikari have teamed up with renowned drum and bass label Hospital Records.

The top ten album has been re-imagined by the likes of Metrik, S.P.Y, Danny Byrd, London Elektricity, Keeno and more. With the inclusion of the most cutting-edge d’n’b artists, the remix album is an intriguing and innovative fusion of sound and culture.

The St Albans’ four piece are also set to embark on their first UK arena tour in February next year finishing at London’s 10k capacity Alexandra Palace. Outspoken U.S pop-punk quintet The Wonder Years join them as special guests.

The Mynabirds release third album Lovers Know (7th August)

The Mynabirds‘s futuristic explorations into the universal themes of love and loss make third LP ‘Lovers Know’ a work that is described by Best Fit as a “disarming admission of vulnerability”.

In their 8/10 star review, they cite the record’s more introspective lyrical themes as an “acknowledgement of one’s vulnerability, disorientation, and shortcomings” as being “much or more a component of strength than tough posturing”.

Cut Ribbons‘ ‘We Want to Watch Something We Loved Burn’, the first cut from their debut LP, has made it to Track Of The Day over at Clash (7th August).

La Luz release ‘Weirdo Shrine’ and air new video for ‘Black Hole, Weirdo Shrine’

Noir-surf outfit La Luz have finally released their second album, Weirdo Shrine. Produced by Ty Segall and released via Hardly Art this month, the LP has been met with critical acclaim. The 405 found it hard to resist the groups “vivacious, cinematic sound” and the albums “dimension of intimacy”, awarding it a rating of 8/10.

To accompany the release, the band are airing psychotropic visuals for ‘Black Hole, Weirdo Shrine’. Take a sketchy ride through the ‘psychedelic desert’ to the “intoxicating noir glow” of La Luz.

Noisy Chorley-based four piece Then Thickens have announced the release of their second album ‘Colic’. Set for release on 23 October via Hatch, the followup to 2014’s Death Cap At Anglezarke is described as both “crude and real”.
