BRONCHO announce new album ‘Double Vanity’

BRONCHO have released their new single ‘Señora Borealis’, a hypnotizing track that finds the Oklahoma quartet settling into the heavy, smoky groove that defines their forthcoming new album, Double Vanity, due June 17th on Dine Alone Records.

Head over to CLASH to check out this “fuzzed up sleaze rock jam that will blow your mind and grab your soul.”

The band’s 2014 LP, Just Enough Hip To Be Woman saw fantastic success, with the infectious ‘Class Historian’ single spending over a month on the playlist at BBC 6Music. The record was dubbed “fresh and invigorating” by the NME, “unequivocally strong in their near mastery of sunny melodies and deft pop sensibilities” by Consequence Of Sound, and received further acclaim from The Independent, Noisey, Mojo and more. Their subsequent debut European tour saw sold-out shows across the capital.

BRONCHO are set to tour America through May and June with Cage The Elephant and will land in the UK for a full tour this autumn.

LESS WIN announce new album with DIY

(web)LESSWIN_WIDE_WEB_Amanda_Hestehave

Copenhagen trio Less Win have announced their debut UK album, TRUST, for release on June 17th 2016 via The Big Oil Recording Company.

Currently streaming as DIY Magazine‘s Neu Pick, ‘Bury The Heart’ is the strident first cut and arrives, “dark, unrelenting and absolutely brutal.” Check it out here.

TRUST sees Less Win in the throes of an instinctive and free-form approach to rock music, transcending the connotations and clichés that come attached to ‘post-punk’. Here, pianos sound like sledgehammers, and saxophones like wailing widows. Strings are a haunting undercurrent, while the vocal scope of Casper Morilla and Patrick Kociszewski sounds crystal clear above the trio’s treacherous atmospherics – sang just a breath away from the deranged.

Their frenetic live show has built a strong reputation in the Danish underground and the scenes of Germany, France and Benelux, and 2015 saw their first steps into the UK with the Further EP release. “A four-song nail bomb” said the NME, whilst Stereogum likened their “harrowing howls” to “a lost lo-fi Mission Of Burma classic”, alongside praise from Clash, Loud & Quiet, Punktastic and more.

Having shared stages with the likes of The Men, Lower, Crystal Stilts, Drenge, Lust for Youth, Yung, Iceage, Spray Paint, First Hate and many more, Less Win will embark upon a UK tour this coming June with The Bodies on the dates below with more TBA.

Pre-order TRUST here.

Rebellion Festival to return for its 20th year

reb

The iconic and now legendary Rebellion Festival is set to return this year between Thursday 4th and the 7th of August at Winter Gardens in Blackpool. The largest independent Punk & Alternative Festival in Europe, Rebellion started out in 1996 as the ‘Holidays In The Sun’ festival and this year celebrates its 20th year alongside the 40th anniversary of the initial punk explosion in 1976.

The sheer depth and variety of legendary punk bands confirmed to perform this year is positively over-whelming. As always the UK is represented by genre defining artists such as the Buzzcocks, Stiff Little Fingers, The Damned, The Exploited, G.B.H., Slaughter And The Dogs, Peter Hook And The Light (Joy Division set), Penetration, Cock Sparrer, UK Subs, Cockney Rejects and Discharge. Whilst from the USA, a wealth of incredible bands are poised to play; Californian pop-punk legends The Descendents, in their only UK performance this year, take a highly-anticipated headline slot and join Dischord Records post-hardcore icons Dag Nasty, LA punk titans Fear and skate-punks JFA (all making it to the UK for the very first time). These, alongside the key members of Black Flag performing under the Flag banner, Dead Kennedys frontman Jello Biafra with his Guantanamo School Of Medicine, Dictators NYC, The Weirdos, CJ Ramone, The Adolescents, Bouncing Souls and T.S.O.L. and many more, ensure that the best of US punk is truly represented at Rebellion Festival in 2016.
