Formed in in Detroit in late 2005, The Silent Years joined the Division family for the release of their album ‘The Globe‘. With influences ranging from Arcade Fire to The Shins and British Sea Power, they are certainly a band to capture the imagination, with Spin Magazine naming them ‘Unsigned Artists of the Year’ in 2007.
Having toured the UK to much acclaim, the band’s four core members are often joined by a large number of others and it has been known that the group has 18 musicians on stage for their live show. The Silent Years are a band going places and music fans on these shores have certainly jumped aboard.
